Truth in the Age of Manipulation
Information is readily available today at all times. And yet, it becomes increasingly difficult to discern what is true. Fake news, filter bubbles, manipulative narratives—reality is being shaped, distorted, and sold. Propaganda is no longer solely a tool of totalitarian states. It has become an everyday phenomenon.
A rational person knows: Truth is not a possession. It is a relationship to reality, an attitude of sincerity, of inner integrity. It does not begin outwardly but within.
Those who do not wish to become part of the lie in a world full of deceit must listen carefully. Not believe everything, not share everything, not pass everything along. Instead, they should ask: What serves humanity? What clarifies, what confuses, what divides?
Propaganda thrives on speed, on reflexes. The path of reason responds with slowness, with pausing, with self-reflection. In a society that values loudness, quiet thinking is an act of freedom.
Truth is not an absolute possession, but it has direction. It aims for connection, not destruction. Those who commit to it will not become infallible but will become transparent. And this might be the first step toward a new form of trust.
